Fresh off the release of Reasons by POET X, St. Louis based producer, GUTHEAD, is back with a new production single with vocal help from St. Louis rapper Ben BIshop.

‘Same Old Story (The World is Perfect)’ covers an array of topics over the lush and masterful production laced with funky synths and eerie backdrops that cradle the song carefully.

Despite the song title, Bishop lends his vocals to make clear that the world isn’t perfect and weaves an intricate group of small anecdotes to observational non sequiturs that help highlight the rigid thinking of many people stuck in a time. This is clearly referenced using the archaic logic of “flat-earthers” in the songs bridge.

Bishop and GUTHEAD have worked together previously, most recently being with their 2017 EP release titled ‘No More Blue Skies’
