Najii Person puts it ‘All On The Line’ in latest single

Najii Person is one of St. Louis’ most celebrated underground rappers/producers. Drawing inspiration from gospel music and modern-day hip-hop, his sound is pleasantly eclectic and very much his own.

With his new single, ‘All on the line,’ Person channels his inner cinephile and Stan Lee to deliver bar after bar of comic book and movie references mixed with real-life dilemmas. Nestled over a lush collection of jazz and gospel samples, Person’s approach and delivery are crisp and effective. “Before life gets smoothie, you gotta go through the blender,” is one of the most poignant lines in recent memory. “I’m in a Honda, actin’ like it’s a Bently. God blessed me with a dime when I didn’t have a penny,” is another line that shows the honesty and gratitude of a man on the rise, no matter what level he’s currently running.

“I’m inspired by the everyday person,” says Najii Person on where he draws inspiration for his work, as he hopes to finally perform again this summer and share his craft with the people.

The new single isn’t attached to a larger project but instead serves as a starting marker to Person’s return to form and consistency with the work he releases. Keep your ears tuned to this man’s talent as we expect to hear a lot more.
